Marij Hartwig
I am a literary translator with a particular passion for lively and touching stories. During my Master's degree in Literary Translation at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, I was able to acquire valuable skills in precise translation and creative writing. Thanks to my Bachelor's degrees in English, German and Scandinavian Studies, I have also gained a deep linguistic understanding of English and Swedish as well as extensive literary knowledge that enriches my work. I started working as a freelance literary translator in spring 2025 and have since translated several children's books and novels.
Step into The Morning Library and let's enter the enchanting world of storytelling together!
When I am not sitting at my desk, I like to read books from a wide variety of genres, travel to Sweden as often as I can and buy piles of Swedish books that are hard to come by in Germany.
